We’ve worked with coaches who’ve been through all of them. Here’s the honest version of what each one actually delivers and where each one quietly works against you.

Kajabi

Good at: All-in-one convenience. Email, courses, landing pages, payments in an all in one dashboard. Great for getting started quickly without needing to connect multiple tools.

The catch: You don’t own any of it. Your SEO lives on their domain. Your content can’t be exported easily. You pay $150–$400/month indefinitely. The moment you want to leave, you’re starting over. We’ve helped multiple coaches migrate off Kajabi and the process is always harder than it should be.

Squarespace

Good at: Beautiful templates, fast setup, good for service businesses that mainly want a brochure site.

The catch: Limited for coaches who want to sell courses, run email sequences, or scale. SEO is manageable but not as strong as WordPress. You’re also on their hosting with no real portability.

Wix / Weebly / GoDaddy Builder

Good at: Absolute beginners who need something live today.

The catch: These platforms are fine for a local restaurant or a personal page. They are not built for a serious coaching business. Limited SEO, no real course infrastructure, no portability. Don’t let a cheap builder become the foundation of a business you’re investing years into.

For any coach who is serious about building a business they own, one that doesn’t depend on a subscription to stay online WordPress is the answer. The learning curve is real. The maintenance is real. That’s why we exist.
